THE BANKS HAVE WON ON APPEAL THEIR CASE AGAINST THE OFT (OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING) AND BANK CHARGES HAVE BEEN DEEMED LEGAL. WHAT A BUGGER, IN A TIME OF ECONOMIC DOWNTURN. NO EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR US.

If you have been charged bank charges by your bank in the last 6 years you can claim them back. Yes, by law the banksters now have to give you back all the charges they tried to put over on you in the last 6 years. If you thought £25 for an bounced cheque or a charge of £30 for being a few pence overdrawn was out of order and an example of a large PLC trying to screw little people, well, you were right. I just got £780 back, two friends got £540 and £800. The following link takes you through the steps, I had to write a letter, the bank refused the claim, so i took them to small claims court (free if you are on benefits) and they caved in and sent the cheque. All in all only took a couple of hours work.
